Liberty Country Club News and Views Vol. 1-4

Dues are Due

A minimum of 1/2 of your dues are due by April 15th with the balance due by May 15th. If you have already paid your 2013 dues, thank you! At $565 for a single membership we think we offer the area's best golf value. And while they haven't come out with a top 100 best golf value list, one we would surely make, the link below tells you how they rate the top 100 courses.

How do they rate the top 100?

Opening Days for Men and Women

Men's opening day tournament will be held Sunday, April 21st. New this year, the tournament format will be 2 man scramble. You may pick your own partner or we will help you find one. At least 1/2 of your dues must be paid to participate. Call 765-458-5664 to sign up or, better yet, stop by and get some golf in while you are here.

The Liberty Ladies Golf Association (LLGA) will have their first event on Wednesday morning, April 24th. Come join this fun group of women most Wednesday's during the golf season. All women are welcome regardless of playing ability.

New in 2013 for those age 24 and under

The millennial card is what we will be calling a new offering for young adults age 24 and under. It will be offered in addition to our offerings of $280 for college students without a parent member ($100 if parent is a member).

Young adults who wish to participate simply purchase a card for $35. We will give you a punch card good for 10 buckets of range balls and you will be entitled to $10 green fees throughout the season. If you would decide to join later in the year, we will credit you up to 1/2 of the dues due based on the number of $10 green fees you paid. As an example, you purchase a millennial card in April and by the end of May you have played 10 times ($100 in green fees) we will credit you $50 toward your dues membership should you choose to join for the remainder of the season.

The Masters - Golf's sign that Spring has arrived!

With the Masters tournament going on this week we are hopefully at the end of winter and on to great golf weather. Ryan Pieratt was the only person to pick Louisville to win the national championship and won an 18 hole cart rental for the correct pick. Now that the focus has returned to golf, we will be holding a Masters contest with those correctly picking the 2013 champion winning an 18 hole cart rental. Simply submit your pick to  libertycountryclubsocial@gmail.com  to enter. The entry deadline is this Thursday at 11:59 pm so you will be able to see who the first round leader is before you pick!

The Masters was involved in at least 1/2 of Golf Digest's list of the 10 greatest streaks. click on the link below to view their list.
